The coffee is rich with purple fruits notes.
The coffee is produced by the owners of the Mormora estate but located on the other side of the river. This is part of the private estate owned by them under the Mormora & Guji Highlands Plantation. In total, MGHP owns 250 hectares of land dedicated for coffee plantation in Ethiopia.
This offerings is the youngest of Mormora’s estates. For this specific coffee, the riped cherries is processed at the Allona milling station. Coffee are selected with care and placed on raised beds for up to 4 weeks to ensure optimum drying and flavours has been obtained. Apart from produces from its own lot, the MGHP also scout and purchase riped red cherries from smallholders around the farm.
The farm is located in Oromia’s southern Highlands (near Kayon Mountain) stretching 1.5 kilometers in length with an average altitude of 2050 masl above sea level. The coffee planted here is surrounded by canopies of natural rainforest.
2021 Taste Notes
After grinding, it has a fragrant aroma of grape, passion fruit, mango and peach The main flavor of the sip is grapes, blueberries, passion fruit and mango, followed by peaches and bergamot with a charming rose aroma, the aftertaste is bergamot and oolong tea flower. The flavor is strong, solid and full.
2020 Taste Notes
The dry aroma is tangy grape, blueberry, peach, mango, bergamot and violet aroma. At first sip it has rich fruity flavors such as grape juice, blueberry jam, strawberry, peach, mango, etc. In the middle section, there is a rich floral fragrance of bergamot and violet, sweet and juicy, rich in layers, and wonderful.
