Nicaragua - Finca Mierisch Los Placeres

This is another coffee from the Finca Mierisch. To date we have roasted from various microlots of coffee from the Finca Mierisch such as the Finca San Jose and Mamamina. Finca Los Placeres is located in the department of Matagalpa.

The coffee planted at Los Placeres sits at a very low altitude. Between 750 to 970 masl. It is among the lowest altitude bourbon variety that we roast from Nicaragua.

The farm day to day operation is managed by Oscar Guadalupe Ramos.

The bourbon is process as a natural process coffee. At a fairly low altitude it can be quite a challenge to roast this coffee. It took us a while to get the right profile for this coffee. This coffee is interesting and flavourful.
After grinding, you can feel the aromas of black plum, caramel, hazelnut, citrus, and orange. At first sip,  the entrance is cranberry, Roselle tea, citrus. It has an orange aroma with hazelnut milk tea like aftertaste. The coffee is creamy, bright and juicy.
