Roasting as Usual

Indonesia - Frinsa Sarapan

RM30.00 MYR
This is the last addition for Coffee from Frinsa Estate for season 2021. Frinsa Rujak Bebeg was amazing, Frinsa Manis had a great clarity with good mix of round coffee taste. This coffee was delayed to be released as we would like to seek the peak of the notes on the cupping table.
For a coffee which is processed as Giling Basah, this coffee adds a new frontier for coffee which is processed as such. Known to be producing earthy/uncleaned profiles this coffee provided a different perspective.

With current climate is working against drying process, the processor Om Fikri find his way to get a clean and unique delicious coffee. This coffee reminded us why we have been buying coffee from Frinsa Estate for 3 years straight. It reminded us of the Frinsa Ateng Super many moons ago.

GIling Basah is a process where its similar to honey process, only that the the coffee is then washed and dried on raised beds without the mucilage. It can also be similar to the washed process as the mucilage is then washed after cherry skin is removed. Only that the fermentation processed with water is skipped and there will be some small quantity of mucilage is left on the coffee bean. Its very minimal.

Unlike the other coffee from Frinsa this year, this offering is the only single variety coffee of the Sigararutang varietal.

Upon grounding, thee dry scent is citrus, herbal and lemon peel. You can feel the combination of citrus, orange and grapefruit at the entrance with a sweet lemon candy like taste. The main note of the combination, followed by honey black tea, with a hint of vanilla aroma. The espresso shot is clean and super smooth.
