This exceptional coffee is from a 3rd and 4th generation farmer of the Family Bonds coffee farm. Situated at 1950 metres above sea level, Finca San Antonio Chaguite is one of six farm that is owned by Family Bonds Coffee that includes Finca Isnul which famed for its Pacamara variety.

What we have here is a coffee of the Caturra Variety which is planted at a very high altitude, is a gift of the exceptional microclimate of the region, of the soil properties and a the care of family coffee farmers with more than 100 years of experience.

The family and the business is currently led by the Patron of the Family, William Perez. Together with his wife and children, they dedicate their life in growing coffee on their six coffee farms which is located in the Agua Dulce, Huehuetenango.

This coffee farm took #10 position in the Guatemalan Cup of Excellence in 2019. With many years of experience of behind each harvest as well as rigorous QC standards, William Perez continue to improve coffee production at San Antonio Chaguite by improving picking, innovating new processes and seeking better method of Sustainability so that his farm will be around for future generations.

This coffee is processed as washed where selected cherries is first place inside a water tank to separate the floaters which considered to have lower density and quality. The cherries is then remove and the parchment is then fermented with water for 8 hours before it is washed. The beans is then placed on patio throughout the drying process until the targeted moisture level is reached. The whole process will take place around 10 to 14 days.

The dry fragrance when the coffee is in ground form is grapes and currants with caramel aroma. You can feel grapes and currants at first sip, cranberry & orange peel in mid section. The coffee has a round body with caramel mouthfeel. Tasty for both Black and with milk.
