Colombia - San Vincente
This variant is currently sold out
Similar to the previous coffee, Tablon de Gomez, this coffee is produced by grouping of small holders that are members of OCCICAFE Cooperative in the San Vincente in Huila. While Tablon de Gomez was produced by a grouping of producers in the Buesaco region in the South bordering Ecuador, San Vincente is located up north in Huila.
Each coffee brought to OCCICAFE is roasted and cup to ensure the quality of coffee is being vetted through as only lot with scoring of 85 and above with moisture content between 10 to 11 % is selected for the San Vincente lot.
OCCICAFE was set up since 2003, but before the 2015, most of their lot is sold through the C market in Colombia. However in 2015, with the rise of specialty coffee industry, OCCICAFE has implemented higher quality requirement to ensure that their lot is destined for International consumers.
We really love this coffee. It is sweet and juicy. Upon grounding, we could detect the aroma of black berries and red berries. At first sip, the coffee is sweet and juicy with a long after taste of chocolate. This coffee has the tartness of a coconut juice. Very interesting.
